Facelift
The face reflects not only our age and personality, but also our emotional state.
Its appearance plays a central role in social interactions and is a key component of self-expression. How we see ourselves in the mirror — and how others see us — has a profound impact on our psychological well-being, self-confidence, and overall happiness. It’s no coincidence we often say: “feeling good in your own skin.” As we age, our facial features naturally evolve. The skin loses its elasticity, while constant muscle activity begins to leave visible marks. Wrinkles deepen, and gravity takes its toll, causing the skin and underlying tissues to sag. These changes vary depending on genetics and lifestyle, but they are inevitable over time.
The result of these effects is clearly visible: wrinkles on the forehead, deepening of the crease at the nasolabial fold, or of the creases around the mouth extending toward the jawline. In addition, the jawline may also change due to sagging cheek fat (hamster cheeks), which distorts the oval shape of the face. The neckline is also distorted by the formation of creases.
In the early stages, non-surgical treatments such as injectables (to relax muscles or fill wrinkles), chemical peels, or laser therapies can offer excellent results.
However, for more advanced signs of aging, a facelift remains the most effective and lasting solution. A facelift restores firmness by tightening the muscle layer (SMAS), repositioning tissues, and removing excess skin — allowing your features to return to a more youthful, rested appearance. In some cases, the procedure may be complemented by lipofilling (fat grafting) for added volume and softness.
