Mini Abdominoplasty (Tummy-Tuck)
Why?
This facelift of the stomach, possibly combined with a liposuction procedure, is appropriate for people suffering from poor elasticity of the skin, localised excesses of fat and slack abdominal muscles under the navel alone.
The Intervention
The tummy-tuck proceeds under general anaesthesia and takes about an hour. The surgeon takes off and removes the excess skin and the subcutaneous fatty tissue via a small, horizontal incision at the bottom of the stomach.
Results and Post-Operative Treatment
The patient can return home on the day of the operation
A tummy-tuck scar is relatively unnoticeable since it is at the level of the pubis and therefore beneath the bikini line. It can be red right after the intervention but this redness will gently fade as time goes by.
