Chin correction
Expected pain: Minimal
Anaesthetic: General
Duration of Surgery: 1 hour
Scars: Invisible, in the mouth
Final results: After 2 months
Social isolation: 7 dagen

Why?
Chin correction is a relatively simple procedure that helps remodel the face, making it an ideal solution for individuals with a weak or underdeveloped chin. A chin implant can also help balance facial features by camouflaging a prominent nose.
Chin surgery can be combined with other procedures, such as rhinoplasty (nose correction), a neck lift, or a facelift, to achieve a more harmonious and balanced result.

The Procedure
Chin surgery typically lasts about an hour and is performed under general anesthesia.
The incision is made either beneath the chin or inside the mouth. The surgeon then places the chin implant beneath the chin muscles and the jaw's periosteum before suturing the incision.
While the incision inside the mouth offers the advantage of leaving no visible scar, it does carry a slightly higher risk of infection.

Results and Post-Operative Treatment
The patient can return home right after the procedure.
Swelling and bruising may occur, but these will fully subside within two weeks. An external compress should be worn for the first two days.
Stitches are typically removed between four and seven days post-surgery, and most individuals can resume social activities after one week.
