Scars: In the fold under the buttock

Final result: After 3 months

Social isolation: 14 days

Why?

A butt lift is performed when the size of the buttocks is sufficient but there is excess skin that causes a sagging or drooping appearance. This procedure can be combined with liposculpture on nearby body areas to further refine the body contours. In some cases, a butt lift may also be combined with a butt augmentation, depending on the patient’s wishes and desired outcome.

The Intervention

A butt lift is a surgical procedure that takes about two hours and is performed under general anesthesia. During the surgery, excess skin and sometimes fat are removed to improve the contour of the buttocks, resulting in a tighter and firmer appearance.

The incision is usually placed in the natural buttock crease or just below the back to make the scar as discreet as possible. The scar runs horizontally along the lower part of the buttocks.

Results and Post-Operative Care

  • The patient may return home the same day.
  • The buttocks will remain swollen, and bruising may occur.
  • It is recommended to avoid sitting during the first two weeks to minimize pressure on the scars.
  • Depending on the case, the procedure will leave a discreet scar either at the bottom of the back or in the buttock crease.
  • The scars from the butt lift usually fade within a year.
