Why?

Photomodulation using LED (Light Emitting Diode) is a treatment that improves the appearance and vitality of the skin and counteracts the decrease in collagen production.

The treatment can be performed on its own – the result is reflected in an improvement in the quality, radiance, and softness of the skin, as well as a smoothing of surface wrinkles.

It can also be done as an ideal complement to other techniques in aesthetic medicine, such as botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid, radiofrequency, laser and intense pulsed light, peels, etc.

LED photomodulation is also ideal for deep hydration of the skin – it even enhances the effectiveness of masks or mesolift treatments.

Finally, it speeds up scar formation after a surgical procedure, making it a useful complement to all types of lifts.

Due to its deep action, LED technology can, over time, slow down the effects of skin aging.

Mechanism of Action

The light emitted by LED photomodulation stimulates collagen and elastin production in the dermis. It not only acts on the effects of aging and damaged skin but also inhibits the activity of collagenase (the enzyme responsible for breaking down collagen and thus accelerating the aging process).

Areas, Indications, and Contraindications
LED photomodulation can be performed on the face and body, and it is suitable for all skin types.

Objectives

  • Improvement of the skin's radiance and vitality

  • Enhancement of the effects of other aesthetic medical treatments

  • Counteracting the effects of aging through collagen production

  • Accelerating scar formation after a procedure due to its anti-inflammatory effect

Course of a Session

The LED is applied a few centimeters away from the face or treated area, on a cleansed and well-prepared skin. The treatment duration ranges from 15 minutes to half an hour depending on the type of light selected. The sessions are completely painless and free from side effects.

Number of Sessions and Effects

Sessions are held with at least one-day intervals, and the first effects are visible very quickly. Sun exposure is not prohibited during the course of treatment.

The recommended frequency for facial rejuvenation is 2 sessions per week for 4 weeks, followed by one session per month for 4 months. After a few sessions, the skin becomes softer and smoother, and the pores shrink. For 4 to 6 months after treatment, fine lines continue to fade as collagen is produced and the skin is strengthened.
