Designed for fighting the ageing of the skin, peeling is reserved for medical use and is practised at Beclinic.
Used for many years, the principle of peeling is similar to that of exfoliation: the upper layers of the epidermis are waxed in order to reveal a more lustrous and less wrinkled skin.
The practitioner applies a plant-based or chemical acid solution, dosed as needed, to the face. It acts in a few minutes (1 to 2 minutes for the face).
Peeling is a dermatological act intended to eliminate a chosen thickness of the skin by the application of a chemical agent.
This application gives rise to tissue-rebuilding phenomena.
The stimulation of the cellular activity will increase the elasticity of the tissues, reduce brown spots, refine the grain of the skin, blur acne scars and lessen, or even eliminate, wrinkles and fine lines.
Peeling can be superficial, medium or deep; it allows, as the case may be, in-depth cleansing of the skin, standardisation of the complexion, reduction of fine lines and brown spots or improved cutaneous relaxation.
Two types of peeling are offered at Beclinic: peeling with fruit acids (AHA) and peeling with trichloracetic acid (TCA).
Peeling aux acides de fruits (AHA)
AHA peeling is a superficial peeling, the interest of which lies in the fact that it comprises few risks and causes no great burns. It allows an exfoliation of the skin and stimulates the elastin and collagen synthesis. It is perfectly right for those who want to regain a clearer complexion and a smoother skin.
Peeling with Trichloracetic Acid (TCA)
This peeling when it is slightly dosed with trichloracetic acid (from 10 to 30%), allows a refinement of the grain of the skin, and a lessening of superficial wrinkles, pigmentation disorders and fine acne scars. It is usually necessary, with this dosage, to have four sessions with a week between them, possibly renewed. An erythema and a light desquamation appear but do not necessitate social exclusion.
TCA peeling can also be dosed at 50%. It then acts more deeply and requires a little sedation during the application. Its effects are distinctly more effective on wrinkles and brown spots. 5 to 10 days of social exclusion can be required.
